Why He Didn’t Get Selection in His First Two Attempts?
Being from a small village in Nagaur, Rajasthan, Harshit, during his first attempt, had limited information about the question pattern and difficulty level of the NEET UG exam. Harshit says,” Everything was completely new for me and in the beginning, my preparation went smoothly. Then, I convinced my parents for a smartphone and my preparation took a wrong turn. I got stuck in the time-wasting trap of social media. Thus, I got just 255 marks on my first attempt.”
Then, during his second attempt, his studies were affected by frequent COVID-19 lockdowns and this time, he scored 533 marks, but still, it was insufficient. Then, he joined the Matrix NEET Division, and though it was the first year of the Matrix, he had good faith in the institute.
After joining Matrix, he removed all distractions, studied sincerely, and finally cracked the NEET UG 2023 by scoring 645 marks on his third attempt.

“Why Matrix NEET Division?” When asked this question, Harshit’s father says,” Matrix has been a pioneer institute in Sikar for IIT-JEE and the management here is the best. When I got to know that Matrix was going to start NEET coaching too, I decided on Harshit’s admission to Matrix NEET Division irrespective of it was the very first year of Matrix NEET Division.”

“Whatever the teachers taught at Matrix NEET Division was completely NEET-oriented stuff”, says Harshit on being asked what difference he found at Matrix from other coaching institutes.
He further adds,” This time, learning became very interesting for me as the teachers at Matrix explained all the concepts in the simplest way possible. During the previous two attempts, I was irregular in classes as well as test series, but this time I hardly skipped any class or test. Sometimes I felt demotivated some days before my exam, but Birbal Maan Sir helped me to overcome it.”

“It was around 10 at night when we got to know that Harshit had cracked NEET with a good rank. It was nothing less than a dream come true and all the moments when my son was going through ups and downs during his NEET preparation flashed back in my memory,” says Harshit’s father about his first reaction to his son’s NEET result.
“This moment gave me a feeling as if I had attained the utmost peace, and it was obvious as for all the parents, the success of their children is the utmost happiness,” further says his father.

Mistakes to Avoid While Preparing For NEET – His Important Advice
“The phase when we all prepare for NEET and similar exams is a phase when the chances of getting attracted to social media are very high. I made this mistake in my first two attempts and then didn’t repeat this mistake in my third attempt”, says Harshit about the mistakes to avoid while NEET preparation.
He adds,” I did not bring a smartphone this time, just a keypad phone I had, which I used just to talk to my parents”. He said that most of the aspirants make the mistake of not following certain study material; rather, they refer to different textbooks for the same chapters. This practice is just a time waste, which everyone must avoid.
“From the beginning itself, I studied only the study material of the coaching itself along with the class notes, this was more than sufficient,” added Harshit.
Harshit’s Message to All the Aspirants
“Lakhs of students prepare for NEET every year and only a few of them crack it. They don’t have any superpowers or sixth sense; all they have is consistency. Ups and downs are a part of preparation, and still, you need to be consistent.
There will be some days when your learning curve and performance are outstanding, while on some days it won’t be satisfactory. Thus, being demotivated is not the right option,” says Harshit as a message to all the aspirants.
